Take an ordinary glass votive and turn it into

You can buy cinnamon sticks at the supermarket or a food supply
store like Smart and Final. A half pound package is around
$4, and that’s enough for several votives and a few mugs
of hot apple cider, too.

1. The basic technique is just like the one for my picnic
straw arrangement. Start with a glass votive holder and put a rubber
band around it.
2. Then line up cinnamon sticks around the glass, using the
rubber band to keep them in place.
3. After you’ve surrounded the glass with cinnamon sticks,
cover the rubber band with raffia.
4. Place a tealight candle in the votive. Bask in the glow of
everyone’s
admiration.
