1. Choose the right tumbler to fit into your cupholder
Every
car seems to have a different-sized cupholder. Buy a plastic tumbler
that fits snugly in your cupholder. A snug fit is very important
in keeping the arrangement steady. It will also help if the tumbler
is short, so the center of gravity is low.
2. Carve the floral foam to fit into the tumbler
Slice away at the brick of floral foam so it fits
tight in the tumbler, allowing about an inch to stick above the
rim. Why do I use floral foam so much? Unlike vases with water,
putting flowers in floral foam gives you absolute control on where
that flower will go. There is very little shifting, if any. In the
case of an arrangement for your car, you certainly don't want all
that water splashing around every time you switch lanes.

3. Stick in the flowers
First,
start by covering the rim. I've used mini roses here, but any small
flower will do. Next, bunch the 5 mini sunflowers together and stick
the stems deep into the middle of the floral foam. Again, any other
small flowers will work, too.
In the gap between the sunflower stems and the roses,
add moss, adhering it with florist pins (available at any craft
store). Paper clips that have been bent around to form a U-shape
will also work. The arrangement is now ready to grace your car's
cupholder.
4. Please drive carefully
Your
safety is of the utmost importance, so be sure to keep the arrangement
small so it does not interfere in any way with your driving. It
must not be visually or physically in your way. The placement of
the cupholder in some cars is such that the arrangement can cover
gear shifts or radio dials. If this is the case, do not try this
in your car. Use your common sense. And keep your eyes on the road.
While the flowers are lovely to look at, use them for ambiance.
Dont let them be a distraction.
