Floral Wine Glass Markers

Wine glass markers are all the rage, it seems. What did people do before they came into existence? Did all the disciples get their wine glasses mixed up at the Last Supper? Well, here’s a fresh take on this trend using fresh flowers instead of the more typical beads. The flowers will last the night easily. If they do start to wilt, that means it’s getting late, and it’s time for your guests to get the hint and go home.

What you’ll need:

Simple flowers like mums, roses or daisies.
Leaves and trimmings, if desired.
Museum or poster putty.

1. Cut the flower leaving about an inch and a half of stem.

2. Take a piece of museum putty and roll it into a 2 inch long piece.

3. Wrap the museum putty around the flower stem and the stem of the glass. (See picture) Press the putty around the glass to secure it.

4. If you’d like, you can attach leaves by pressing them into the museum putty.
